When do you stop washing...
Dd is 18 months and I still do. I didn't used to wash my and DHs new clothes before wearing but now I'm in the habit of doing so for dd so I usually wash our stuff first too.

NB and 0-3 month clothes were the only sizes that got washed before DD wore them.

I wash everything new because they've been through factories, all over the store and handled by tons of people. Everything new goes right in the laundry.

Ditto. I never wear anything without washing it. Loads of dust and allergens on new clothing.

I am sure other things but people wear clothes and return them. So I am sure kids clothes are no different.

I wash all our clothes too. I worked for the Gap in college and the shipments came from Malaysia. Opening up a box one day several gigantic hissing/flying cockroaches (or water bugs), still not sure to this day what they were came out. We ran screaming. One landed on my friend's face! I still have nightmares
And yeah all the other usual gross things you can imagine-people returning used clothes, clothes coming back nasty, etc.
