BTDT Plus size mommies
I am in my brother's wedding 2 months after my due date and I'm not sure when I should go get "measured". I know that it has to be ordered by the end of July, which is 4 months or so before my due date. I'm plus size with huge boobs to start with, they've already gotten bigger. I'm just not sure when I should go get measured for it, if I should go in July at 5+ months or if I should go earlier. Thoughts?

my best friend was in my wedding 3 weeks after she gave birth. She measured at a size 8 at 5 months pregnant (she honestly wasn't really showing at all) The bridal store ordered her a size 14 bc it was the largest she could get without paying extra for plus size. And the poor girl spent hundreds in alterations bc it was huge on her. I wouldn't go more than a size up from your regular size.

a friend of mine was just in this situation - she got measured at the latest possible moment. the store told her to order it very large just to be safe since its easier to take in then to let out - but she made sure they put an alteration cap on her dress so that if she does need a ton taken in she doesnt have to pay for it.

I would call the particular salon and see what they suggest. They deal with this all the time, they are pros. For my wedding my cousin was about 8 weeks pregnant when we ordered the dresses. They talked it over with her to see what everyone felt comfortable doing and ended up ordering a couple of sizes up from where she was measuring. The wedding was 3 weeks after she gave birth and she did not have any problems. Dress fit great (she needed alterations like anyone else of course) and she looked great!

I would wait as long as you could. I only went up one or two sizes but bridesmaid dresses are always sized weird

I would get measured and explain to them what is going on. They will look at the numbers you are in now and can add to them.

I would wait to order it until July and see what how you are carrying then - you will have a better idea of how you are gaining weight then as well. I would also not order it too too big because by 2 month PP, you might have lost a decent amount of weight.

I would probably only order one size up from my regular size. As a PP said, by 6-8 weeks after, you won't still be your prego size. And as a former plus size prego, I can say that your size won't go up THAT much, except maybe your boobs. And if you're going to BF, you'll lose a lot in those first 6-8 weeks.

Re: BTDT Plus size mommies
I am 9 months preggo and I have only gained about 15-20 lbs. I am still in some of my pre pregnancy pants. I just needed maternity shirts. I wouldn't go crazy ordering so much bigger.
