sleep regression

My almost 4 month old is now waking up every couple of hours during the night. She was sleeping from 8 - 3 or 4 am, would eat, then sleep til 7. Now she goes down at 8 and wakes at 1, 2, 3 etc. When she wakes she doesn't want to eat, if i give her the paci and rock her she will go back to sleep. We are still swaddling her. DS didn't do this - is this sleep regression??? What can i do? This momma is exhausted Chat Icon

sleep regression

Chances are they are just learning something new or teething.

I don't believe in sleep regression. We all go through times when something is messing with our sleep.. That's all it is.

Is she breaking out of the swaddle? Personally I think she is probably done with it and waking herself up by trying to break out of it. I'd try unswaddling and see if she sleeps better.

sleep regression

I am waiting for this...DD will be 4 months next week. She has been sleeping through the night since she was a little over 2.5 months. Which worked out great since I just returned to work a few weeks ago. I know 4 months is a big growth spurt as well.

Right now she gives me anywhere from 8 or 9 until 630-7. My mornings transitioning back to work with 2 kids has been easy because of this. I don't want anything to disrupt it Chat Icon

Re: sleep regression

DS has fits like this, and it's usually always related to a milestone or a new development. It lasts a couple days.

To me, true sleep regression is when it is a prolonged, pronounced change in the pattern of their sleep.

ETA: Maybe her bedtime is too early? My DS could never go down at 8 and sleep the whole night. He typically goes down around 9:45. You could also try increasing her last feeding.
