How far in advance did you sterilize your breast pump?
I received my breast pump in the mail on Friday. Yesterday, I took it out of the box and checked for parts and what not.
How far in advance should I sterilize it? I was thinking about doing it last night, but then was wondering if I should wait until closer to my due date, April 28th.

How far in advance did you sterilize your breast pump?
I actually did mine last night bc I checked it for parts.. and I'm not due till 2 weeks after you.
I also am going back to work 4 weeks after I give birth though- so I'll probably start using it much sooner than most people do.

Wow - you are a trooper! Once I am done on April 25, I am not going back until September 2!

How far in advance did you sterilize your breast pump?
I'm due same day as you 4/28 and was wondering the same. I actually already sterilized bottles and nipples but I'm thinking I will need to do again. I didn't sterilize the pump parts yet. This week I plan to.

How far in advance did you sterilize your breast pump?
DH sterilized mine when we got home from the hospital.
ETA: DD never latched so I've been pumping since the day we came home from the hospital.

I basically had no choice lol. I'm going back in 4 weeks part time- only 2 days.. and they're not my normal 8.5 hour days (one is 6 the other is 7 hours) that way I don't have to return to my full time hours until she is 14 weeks old.. but I think I'm going to have to start pumping at like 3 weeks , which I'm not happy about.

How far in advance did you sterilize your breast pump?
I wouldn't sterilize until literally right before you're going to use it. The longer they sit around waiting to be used, the less sterile they'll become.

I called the company on a Tuesday and it would have arrived on that Friday if we were home to sign for it. We got it Saturday instead. I ordered through Genodyne.

I ordered at the beginning of last week and it was at my door Friday. I ordered through edge park.

I agree. Also the best way to boost supply and produce what the baby is demanding is nurse nurse nurse. (Meaning you shouldn't actually need the pump at first unless there's some issue)
