Anyone sneak veggies into their toddlers diets with smoothies?

i am thinking of trying this, but as I dislike smoothies myself I need advice as to what they might like

I put spinach leaves in the smoothies. You can't even taste it! I call it a "groovy smoothy" like FBB. Chat Icon

toddler smoothie?

When I tried to make DD her own smoothie she wasn't into it. However, if I make one for myself she is constantly asking for a sip of course. I have to try making her more. I always add spinach to mine and I find that if you add something strong like any kind of berries you don't notice the spinach at all. I usually make them with coconut milk, greek yogurt, spinach, frozen berries, banana, and chia seeds. I buy baby spinach and just put a bunch in a freezer bag in the freezer so that you always have it on hand and can grab a handful as you need it.

This exactly! I usually put fresh spinach in it and often carrots. Mixed in with strawberries, blueberries and bananas you can't really taste it and my kids love them!

This is such a great idea! I am going to do this for DD for the weekends. Do you give this as a main meal or snack?

I put the power greens mix from Costco (Spinach, Kale, Field Greens)
Greek yogurt
almond milk
almond butter
a little raw honey
chia seeds
whatever fruit I have. (Strawberries, Banana or frozen mango)

DS sucks them down!!

I put in frozen strawberries, but you can get the mix. I'm allergic to pineapple so I stick with frozen berries. I add organic almond milk, banana, throw in the spinach and sometimes Greek yogurt. Blend and drink. Kids love it!

We did a big handful of baby spinach, a small banana, and about a half to 3/4 cup of milk. We use lactose free as DS is sensitive, but heard almond milk is yummy in it too.

Now that I know he likes it im going to try adding some berries or other stuff to add more options

i would like to try this as well. DS has a peanut allergy so I haven't given him almond milk yet. what else can i use instead? would yogurt and a little regular milk work? i have never made smoothies at home for myself.

I make it with plain milk kefir (more probiotics than yogurt). I use the lifeway brand and you can find it in the yogurt section.

We have a Nutribullet and make smoothies for DD with fresh spinach leaves, bananas, oranges and all different kinds of fruit and veggies. Sometimes we add carrots

DD has a milk allergy so I do them with soymilk or coconut milk. You could do whatever milk he usually has. I also add a little water as well as yogurt.
