Updated: Smiley, No Smiley, No Temp Rise

So yesterday afternoon i got a smiley, this morning no smiley, but I didn't have a temp rise, my temp actually went down.
?????

I thought OPK would make this easier haha

Update: I tested againthis afternoon and got the smiley again. This is my first time using OPK's and I am sooooo confused.

You can surge without ovulating which is why you got the 2nd surge. That one should bring on ovulation. Good thing you are temping so now you KNOW for sure which surge brought on an actual O.

According to everything once you get a surge , you're supposed to stop testing. But to me, this is the very reason to keep checking! I don't temp, but after almost 3 years if this - I know my body and the signs of O. If I get a positive OPK and it's earlier in my cycle then usual, without all my usual signs , I keep testing. And every single time I was right to keep testing bc my 2nd surge with all my O symptoms was still a few days away!

So second surge was your O surge. Pay attention to what cycle day you got that 2nd surge. Hopefully you'll get a BFP this cycle, but if you don't, you now have a better understanding of your cycle and when you surge.
