Aquariums other then Coney Island or Riverhead?
We went to Coney Island last summer and it was still being rebuilt from Sandy, but the future plans still looked kinda lame...and I heard the Riverhead one is super expensive for what it is..
Any other suggestions in the area? Would love to go to Philly or Baltimore, but its a bit too far

There are zoos....the only other aquarium I am aware of is the one in Mystic, CT that can be easily accessed if you take the Orient Pt Ferry.

Mystic is nice, but also quite $$.
Maritime museum is much closer, small & cute (but their prices just went up).

Adventure aquarium in NJ. It's quite the hike but I love that aquarium!

Norwalk CT aquarium. I think it's small. I haven't been in a really long time so I can't say if it's worth it.
Boston aquarium. They were redoing the huge tank last year so I haven't been but it's small but. A fun trip if you want to make a weekend out of it.

We just went to the one in Norwalk. It is small, but it's nice. Not sure if it's worth the price b/c MIL paid and I don't know how much it was...
