Gender guess at 12 weeks, accuracy?

So we had our 12w appt today.

The sono tech wouldn't guess.

The doctor came in and was looking around..she said 80% girl....

my gyno said he doubts she would say that if she weren't sure...

so anyone have their doc guess wrong at 12w??

the tech who did my 12w scan said boy & she was right!!!

my sono tech knew at 12-13w and she was right. she has only been "wrong" 8 times in her whole career which is like 15 years

Our gender 'guess' at 13 weeks was right!

At 13 weeks they couldn't tell the one and said 70% boy for the other. 2 girls. I think they were 100% on both being girls at. 15/16 weeks.

They told me with what she said was 99 percent and 85 percent for our twins and she was right

With DS, we clearly saw testicles & penis at 12 weeks.
With DD, at 12 weeks, they would only guess, and at 16 weeks they said probably girl (but no confirmatory view until 20 weeks).
I have heard incidences when guess was girl but it was wrong because baby wasn't in good position to see penis.

The sono tech told me girl at 12 weeks and she was right. I had a DS so I did want a girl. But honestly it stressed me out until they could tell me 100% it was a girl.

Can I just say I'm dying to know if you're having a girl? I remember your post from TTC about dtd a few days before O and could you get pg.... the theory is that the girl sperm live longer and I want to see if that holds true for you!

My cousin was told girl at 12 weeks and by the 20 week scan, it was clearly a boy!

The tech guessed at 12 weeks for our two kids and she was correct both times. Although the u/s practice was quite large, we had the same tech for both 12 week appointments.

12 weeks I was told girl, 18 weeks she said she was 110% wrong , it was a boy! Boy it was.

Mine was at 14 weeks, 2 boys and it was right

we are but the dr told us he knew the gender at 11 weeks...when i saw him again for my 20 week he said its still the same sex he saw last time. so even though i dont know what it is, apparently he got it right at 11 weeks

thanks girls...I would gladly welcome another boy, but hearing it is a girl was SO exciting

Guessed boy at 12.5 weeks. She first said 70% it was a boy and then he peed and she said "o, nevermind, he's peeing, it's a boy!"

My mfm dr was right for my dd and ds...both at 12 weeks

we didn't hear until 16w (girl) and even then she said "80% and don't paint the room or shop"...

12w is early for real accuracy!

From me the high risk dr told us at 12 weeks boy for sure for one and 80% chance girl for the other(twins) He was right
