My DS is 27months and he loves Curious George, Peppa Pig, Calliou, and is obsessed with Thomas the train. He loves the sprout channel and will ask for other shows on that channel.
The sprout channel is great because the shows are pretty short so it keeps his attention.
He wont sit for hours watching TV, if i get a few minutes im lucky, but i do keep the TV on more for background noise.

Paw Patrol. He's obsessed. He now like talks like them dude! AWESOME! 
He also loves Minions from whatever movie that is and Madagascar.

DS 2 who will be 2 in a week and a half loves Bubble Guppies, Jake and the Neverland Pirates and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.

DD is 18 months and we don't have cable so if I want to show her something, I have to rely on DVD's I already own, netflix streaming or youtube clips. I just started letting her watch (although she used to see sporting events like tennis and football when DH would watch).
DD seems to like Sesame Street, Mister Rogers, Sharon Lois and Bram, Frozen, Tangled, Shirley Temple, anything with music.
what Shirley temple movies does she like? I have a bunch on dvd but haven't seen them in sooo long, I wouldn't know where to start!

I just did clips on youtube. the only dvd I own is the little princess and she is only 18 months so that's not quite a good movie for her yet! She saw some musical numbers from a variety of her films- Stowaway has some good ones, Dimples, Baby Take A Bow... I don't know her films that well (obsessed with them when i was a little girl) but i couldn't tell you nowadays much about them.

also common sense media recommends Heidi, Bright Eyes, Captain January and Just Around the Corner.

Thanks :) I loved them as a kid too... my brother bought me like 3 volumes of sets of her movies a while back but I never opened them. I know I was specifically obsessed with Rebecca of sunnybrook farm... but id assume that the ones where shes the youngest prob have the most music
