announcing to F&F
It's still early so we are waiting to announce it to family and friends but I wanted to do it in a cute way when we finally do. I would love to hear everyones stories about how you announced it.

announcing to F&F
For my mom and her side of the family, we had everyone over for a bbq and got a cake that said "We are having a baby" and we just had them read it.
For my dad and IL's, we had them over for a bbq for my dad's and MIL's birthdays and got them each a card that said Grandpa and Grandma.

We bought t-shirts for our moms that said "This Gal (with arrows up) is going to be a GRANDMA in August" It is the first grandchild for both of them and DH got both of their reactions to the shirts on his phone.

We did the same thing for both sets of parents...not together though. We gave them a sono frame that said "Coming Soon" with a pic from my 8w sono. They were wrapped in gift bags. The one for my IL's was "for FIL's bday" and for my parents it was a "thank you gift" for all of my mom's help cleaning our new house. I got their reactions on video. It's the first grandchild on both sides and their reactions are priceless.

I'm just so excited for you!!! 
We did baby gifts for our parents (sonogram pic in a frame w/ "Love at First Sight" on it, diary book for gparents to write to grandkids) and then we sent a cute announcement to all our family and friends in the mail. We posted the announcement on facebook once everyone got their mail.

Thanks! These are such cute ideas! I am leaning towards a cake because I will use any excuse to eat cake lol. I also saw these cute grandparent mugs on etsy and those would be adorable to get for his parents.
