Placenta prévia
Did anyone have this and it moved very late in pregnancy? I am 25w and still have it. I did not realize how serious it was until I decided to google it and now I am in a panic. Praying it moves!

Re: Placenta prévia
I havent officially been diagnosed with it...yet anyway....right now I a low lying placenta, which i was told if it i didnt move then it would be considered placenta previa. I'm almost 25 weeks, so i go back for a check at 29 weeks. My doctor did tell me, for my case anyway, that there's a 90% chance it will move. If it doesnt, they will just monitor closely and take the "necessary precautions" for delivery. and you may need to go on bed and/pelvic rest if the placenta is covering the cervix at all.
I've searched on this board and it seems that many women have had this and they had healthy babies and subsequent babies too. While i think it can be very serious, its seems like as long as your dr knows about it, you should be ok.
Definitely talk to your OB, mine made me feel better about it all.
Good Luck

Placenta prévia
At 12w they told me it wasn't considered previa yet, but it's low lying. At 20w they diagnosed me with previa, put me on pelvic rest.. At 28w they just told me it looks like it's going to move and not to worry- still on pelvic rest though

Re: Placenta prévia
ths may be a dumb question - what is the difference between "pelvic rest" and "bed rest". i've seen people use both, and i'm just confused....

Placenta prévia
pelvic rest is basically no intercourse... but some people experience bleeding w/previa, so it's also no tampons, or inserting anything.
