If your 3 year old doesn't nap, what time is bedtime?

I think naps are done for the most part. She has been fighting them since summer and I would still put her down and get one here and there, but now I can't remember the last one. She still gets tired around 5 and we have to get her to stay up until bedtime. If she does doze off, even for a short period, bedtime is all screwed up. She is usually down for the night by 7:45ish but leading up to bedtime, she is a maniac. I should probably put her to bed earlier but I hate the idea of a 7 pm bedtime. The whole evening becomes a total rush-dinner, bath, etc. And then she would be up at the crack of dawn.

If your 3 year old no longer naps, what time is bedtime? And then what time is dinner? I prefer to eat as a family and that is usually around 6 pm when DH gets in. But that doesn't leave much time before bed.

Dd is almost 4 but it has been this was for about a year now.

No naps, bedtime is at 7:30 after dd2 goes to bed at 7.

Baths I do around 5 dinner at 5:30. Eat play relax bedtime.

Bath time makes my kids super hyper. I cannot do them before bed. I recently did it at 6 and it was a nightmare going to bed. They were both really hyper and awake. Lol

We don't eat together during the week. Dh gets home late and it's just easier to feed them get them to bed the. Eat. We try to eat together I. The weekends. I sit down with them. But I don't eat

during the week, bath starts at 7, routine done & in bed by 745. on the weekends i'll start bath/routine around 8

dinner during the week is usually around 530/6. on the weekends its anywhere between 530 & 7 depending on what we're doing

DS is 3.

He doesn't nap anymore. He goes to bed at 7pm. We eat dinner at 5pm.

My dd is 3.5 and hasn't naped in months she is in bed by 7:15 and it only takes her a few minutes to fall asleep. She sleeps to 6:45-7:00.

Between 8-8:30

DH and I have different schedules so eating together is not usually an option.

Kids eat around 5
Bath a few minutes after they eat
Bedtime 6:30/7 usually but there have been many times she is begging for bedtime at 6 so I put her down and she's slept all night.

I never thought she's go down so early and sleep until morning but so far it has worked great! She gets good sleep and I get down time and alone time with DS to do his homework, etc. Win-win!

Naps are inconsistent here
Dd needs one ds usually will not take one
Bedtime is usually the same 7:00; if one naps they usually will stay up and "play" a bit
Eta we eat anywhere from 530 to 6, straight in bath when done 20 minutes or so after to unwind

DD is 2 & a half & hasn't napped in months
Sometimes she falls asleep in the car but on the days she doesn't it's dinner at 5, bath at 6 & bedtime routine stars at 6:45, she's usually out by 7 in a perfect world.
Some nights she is so overtired & cranky it still tales an hour to fall asleep.
Seems like the earlier I put her in, the easier it is for her to fall asleep & sleep through the night.
If all goes well she'll sleep from 7pm-7am

My twins are 3.5 and havent's napped in a loooooong time. Dinner is usually around 6 and then they are in bed around 8:30. On days I don't have to get the up for school they'll sleep till about 8:30/9.

My 3 year old hasn't napped since last summer (just turned 3). She goes to bed around 830ish and even then gives me a hard time. She gets miserable midday 330-7pm she is cranky and exhausted. Dad comes home 7ish and she gets her 2nd wind! We do dinner between 6-7pm depending on what her brother's crazy schedules for sports and activities are that day.

My dc are 4 and 2, both dropped their naps at 2 years old. For us dinner is at 5, bath at 6:30, story and cuddle time until 7:45 and asleep at 8pm. Some nights my little one falls asleep before 8 pm.

My kids both stopped napping t about 18 months. They are now 2 and 4.5. They go to bed between 6 and 7. They wake at the same time every morning whether they go to bed at 6 or at 1am. My dh works a lot, so when they are in bed it is out only time together alone.

ETA- we eat dinner between 5 and 5:30.

Thanks for all the responses! It seems like the 7:00 hour is bedtime for most non-nappers. I'm wondering what is going to happen in the summer when it's light out late, but I guess I'll cross that bridge when we come to it. I do like having more downtime with DH (although we have a NB so that's not exactly the case, lol), but I'm not a fan of the rush or the cranky pants she turns into in the late afternoon/evening.

My DD won't be 3 until August, but she stopped taking naps a little after she turned 2. She goes down at 7pm and gets up anywhere from 6:30-7am.

DS will be 4 in May.

For the past 6 months or so, he was not napping and going to sleep by 7:30.

Over the past month, he has been napping again for an hour/1.5 hours at daycare so he goes down at about 8:00!

Our sweet spot is 6:30-7pm. Any later and he's overtired and impossible to get down.

We eat at 5-5:30pm typically.

We're just starting to have to deal with this as well. DS hasn't napped in about a week. He'll be three in May. Last night he was such a mess we put him down at 6:30.

I have a question for those that say they don't eat together though. Do you cook the meal, feed it to your kids and then reheat for DH and you later? Or do your kids eat a different meal? I'd like to feed DS earlier but DH doesn't get home until 6:45 I'm not sure about what to cook and when.
