This disney trip is really stressing me out

I can't decide on what to do and I am not planner normally when we vacation.
This is the first time we are taking them and I want to make the most of it.
I have 2 park days and 3 kids 8Chat Icon , Chat Icon Chat Icon 3 & 6.5. I know we will spend 1 day at MK, I don't know what I should do for the other day.
We are staying at the contemporary.
We will be there April 14th and 15th.
Also what rides are worth using the fast pass on?

I would do Hollywood studios or Epcot for the other day.

Fast pass in mk should probably be used for buzz light year. Same for Hollywood. Toy story.

I think it should be based on your children's interests. I personally would do AK and EP on the second day.

My kids love dinosaurs and Dinoland in Animal Kingdom is their absolute favorite. I feel like we are returning to Orlando just so we can go to Dinoland and eat at the T Rex Café in Downtown Disney.

Re: This disney trip is really stressing me out

we went in April it was ds1 3x and ds2 first time. We only had 3 days for parks bc we did the cruise after. Anyway, I planned 1 day at Epcot (DH & I love this one, kids like it), 1 day at MK and 1 day at AK... however we left the last day up to DS1 and he said he would rather do MK.

with only 2 days at parks, I would honestly plan 2 days at MK. THere is so much to see and do there the rides, shows, fireworks,e tc. In 2 days you can see alot of MK, but not all.

Otherwise I would play it by ear, maybe plan 1 day at MK and 1 at AK but see how much you get done in MK and decide then.

Re: This disney trip is really stressing me out

I know you said Hollywood Studios for the 2nd day, but we had the least fav experience there. Your kids are older so maybe they'd like it better. Too many shows to sit and wait. We loved the Cars stunt show they had and having breakfast at Hollywood and Vine. Oh, and the Toy Story Mania ride, BUT there is ALWAYS a long wait. We got there first thing in the AM. DH ran to get a fastpass and at around 9AM the best he could do was about 5PM.

Fav was MK, which we spent 3 days at. Sooo much to do and see. After we loved Epcot and AK. Both lots to do for both kids and us. Also, Epcot you can drink so when the kids were tired we walked around the countries and had some drinks. Chat Icon

Try to go online and get at least one Character meal.

This disney trip is really stressing me out

I think you are going during Spring Break so the parks are going to be crazy crowded. I would go to Magic Kingdom the first day and pick a few key rides they want to take. For your girls I would definitely do the Enchanted Tales with Belle and the new Ariel ride.

For the second day, I'd do Hollywood studio's in the morning and then back to MK for the rest of the day. In Hollywood Studios they have Doc McStuffin's and Sofia the first so if your youngest likes them it is the only place too see them. Also the toy story ride there is great!

I would also try to get some sort of dining reservation. It is a very busy week so I'm not sure what is left but I would keep trying because the character ones are wonderful and then you don't have to waste time on line waiting to see them in the parks.

I think you may be right with only doing one park. My. Kids have no idea that Disney. Is Chat Icon it would make for an easier trip too. If we go to downtown Disney to walk around I know ds would like the Lego store.

Thanks ladies!!

Re: This disney trip is really stressing me out

With just two days and being that April 14th and 15th will be VERY busy days, I would stick with just MK. If you're set on doing more than one park you could park hop to Epcot one of the evenings especially since you are at a monorail resort.

I don't feel AK or HS is worth it with such a limited amount of time.

Suggestions for FP are hard to say, depends on your priorities. We were just there last week and this is what we FP'd in each park:
MK:
Enchanted Tales with Belle, Space Mountain, and Buzz Lightyear.

EP:
Test Track
Nemo (wasn't necessary)
Living with the Land (wasn't necessary)

HS:
Tower of Terror
Toy Story Mania
Disney Jr. Stage Show

AK:
We didn't FP anything since we were only here a half day and saved our FP for Epcot in the evening.

Also, in MK, if you could FP the Main Street Electrical Parade (in evening) it's so worth it. You get a fantastic spot plus you're in a prime viewing location for the fireworks afterwards.

ETS: I just checked the operating schedule for your days. Forget my advice about the parade. On your days the fireworks are BEFORE the Main Street Electrical Parade. The days we were there it was the reverse.

Peter pan fast pass for sure at MK, that line is like molasses...never less than 45 minutes. Thunder and Space Mountain for older child. Buzz and Enchanted tales with Belle. I would either do animal kingdom or MK again for your second day. Also plan on getting there an hour before MK opens.,.,then taking a break and go back at night til closing. We did MK this week....busy day but rode so much within the first two hours and last 3 hours (11 pm closing)

Also book Chef Mickeys in your hotel if you can. Super fun character meal
