Full Size Bed
When did you convert your DC to a full size bed? and did it help your DC sleep through the night?
My DD is 3.5 years old and she still wakes up to come to our bed in the middle of the night. I have had it, she kicks and punches I am so over it. I bought the conversion kit and wondering if she sleeps in a big bed if that would let her sleep through the night.
Thanks!

Re: Full Size Bed
DD will be 3 in April and her bed will be converted to a full-size once we get a mattress for her, which we are doing this weekend.
She picked out the bed sets - Minnie Mouse and princesses, so she is excited to have an even bigger bed than her toddler one.

Full Size Bed
We put DD in regular twin bed around 33 mos. she was coming into our bed nightly, it was horrible and I wasn't getting any sleep. She still continued to come into our bed, but what we did was put the crib/toddler bed mattress on our floor next to our bed. So, she still comes in most nights around 2am, but goes right on the little mattress next to us. We leave a pillow and blanket there for her. It's so much better, we got our bed back! We can slip her mattress under our bed when not in use.

That is such a good idea with the mattress! I will have to steal that if I ever have a bed sharing issue!
We started DD in a twin bed (and also switched her room to give DS the nursery) at 24mo but she wasn't regularly sleeping in there until about 27mo. She was not having any issue sleeping prior to the move but she did have issues going to sleep for the first few months.
It was a battle in the beginning and we had to put a baby gate on her door to keep her from just coming out of her room over and over at bedtime. Once asleep she never had an issue. She's now almost 3 and goes to bed no problem (we removed the gate long ago) and stays there until morning.

Full Size Bed
DD was moved from toddler bed to full size bed about a year ago, maybe a bit longer. She is still coming into my bed. It changed nothing.

DD was almost 3 when she went into a full size bed. She stays in her room all night. She never got up and came into bed with us though.

Yeah, the little mattress has worked out great for us. Sometimes she just wants to be near us, and we made it clear that she cannot sleep in our bed. She's fine on the mattress and sleeps no problem there. I don't mind it, as long as we are all sleeping. I wish I would have done it earlier because we really had countless horrible nights.

Re: Full Size Bed
My oldest is almost 4.5 & we converted him just shy if his 4 birthday bc of the same reason you are considering. I can tell you it didn't help, it actually made it worse in the behinnnng bc I think the bed was so big for him that if he got cold he came to us. Now at almost 4.5 he is sleeping pretty much until 4-5am in his bed & then runs I to our room & curls up & goes back until 7ish. I truly believe it was just an age thing & not related to the bed
My youngest went into the full bed at 3 & never came out of it. He loves his big bed
