Questions for Child Care Provider
Our DD won't even be with a sitter until September, since I'm a teacher and won't be returning till next school year. We decided to start our search for childcare at the beginning of this month since we're both so worried about leaving DD. We visited a few daycares, and then signed up for care.com. We both looked through the responses we received while we were at work one day. He text me telling me that he really likes one women in particular, and it was the same woman I really liked. So that's a good start. We exchanged numbers and she would like to have a phone interview 1st.. and I'm clueless on what to even ask. I have a few questions in mind, but we're first time parents and I'm overwhelmed. Anyone have any important questions for me to add to my list, or any questions they wish they would have asked. Thanks for the help!!!

Questions for Child Care Provider
My mom watches my DS,but if I were looking for child care, these are some things I would ask:
What is the adult/child ratio? Are they certified in CPR? What happens if you have to miss a day? (Do you still have to pay?) If they will be driving the baby anywhere, I would ask about driving records. Provide food or bring food? I would also do a tour of the daycare. If its at home person, I would just check out to make sure there are no safety issues (such as exposed outlets, etc). Also, if its a person that does it out of their home see if you can talk to another client to get a reference.

Thank you!! I can't believe I didn't think of the CPR thing since my husband and I both took a class. I know she does watch another child, whose 18 months, so I plan on calling them for a reference.
