Eye rolling 16 months old
My daughter started rolling her eyes backward. It does not appear at all like an attitude thing and she remains conscious. She doesn't seem to be purposely doing it for any reason, it seems involuntary to me. It started yesterday. She did it a few times and just seemed odd to me. She also had a low grade fever yesterday that has since resolved. It happened again during lunch, she was hugging a stuffed doll while it happened. Anyone else ever experience this? Is this something to be really worried about?

I'd probably call the ped just to be sure. It could be nothing but id worry since she is sick. I hope she feels better.

I would def. call the doctor In the morning. Things with the eyes can be symptoms of bigger issues - or could just be a habit she developed.

Does she pause while it happens? Def go to your ped. Without any further info, I would think seizures.

I would think petit mal seizures as well. I would call a pediatrician as soon as possible!

Re: Eye rolling 16 months old
My son was doing this at around 6 months. It scared the crap out of me. My son had rolled off the changing table at 5 months and had a small fracture on the skull, so I went straight to a neurologist when he started rolling his eyes. I thought for sure it was a seziure but it wound up being nothing. He stopped doing it after a few weeks. Doctor had a name for what he was doing, but I forget now. Said sometimes kids just do things they can't explain and then it just goes away. I would for sure go get her checked out though, because you want to make sure it's nothing serious. Also try to catch it on video on your phone. Will be very helpful for doctors to see. This is what I did.
So you know I first went to my Ped, who sent me to a optomologist to check him out. Soon after I went to a neurologist and had an EEG done.
