Sesame Place v. Dutch Wonderland
We are going away this summer with friends. Kids will be:
15 months
25 months
32 months
I know the 15 month old may be too young for both but which is better as a whole for the group?

I've never been to DW, but my sister was there over the summer with her DS (who was 20 months) and some friends and they absolutely loved it.

We've been to both and based on the ages of the children I would go to Sesame Place. Most of the items at DW will be too big for the younger two children.

we preferred Sesame to Dutch. DS was 23 months when we first went and loved the sesame characters and atmosphere there -- we became seasons ticket holders. We liked Dutch, but not as much as Sesame. It also helps that Dutch is twice as far away

DS was 18 months went we went to Dutch...as long as the child can sit up by themselves there are plenty of rides they can go on.

does anyone happen to know what the heigh requirements may be on the rides?
the 15 month old is already cruising right now and will most certainly be a walker by then and she is also 100th percentile for height.

DW all the way. So clean, so cute, so appropriate and very very family oriented. I have to admit I have never been to Sesame place but I don't like some things i have heard. DW all the way, you can't go wrong!!!

I've never been to dw we plan to go this summer. Sesame is great for little ones. I'm not sure where or why the bad views come from. My girls love it there. It's always been really clean every time I've been there. Is the good fantastic? No but it's a theme park and I don't expect it to be plus they let you bring in a small cooler so you pack your own food. There is plenty for little ones to do. The shows are adorable. The meet and great meals are really fun for the little ones too. We've been there 5 times in the past year.

IF the kids are all sesame fans and you are NOT going on a weekend I would suggest Sesame place.
However if they dont care for sesame characters, then DW is better. When we took DS to Sesame he was 2.5yo unimpressed but he never cared for any of the sesame stuff.

I have a picture from the enterance of the park. They have a color coded system...
Aquamarine -
Emerald - 36"
Amber - 42"
Sapphire - 48"
Ruby - 54"
If the kids are in the emerald category there is plenty for them. A decent amount for aquamarine but less options. Some they can go on with you and some alone.

LOVE Dutch!
The whole Lancaster area is so much fun for families.
Dutch is a nicer park with more variety.
Hates Sesame where there was not a hint of shade to be found!
