Winter allergies? Need some advice
Long, please bear with me
DS is 5, and has this issue all winter. He gets what seems like a minor cold, and will have the runniest nose with a ton of mucus for weeks! Never has a fever. This past time,his nose ran for 3 weeks, and finally stopped. He gets a combo of mucinex and Zyrtec until it clears. In another week I know I will be dealing w the same. Every time I take him to the doc (several different docs) they say it's a cold bla bla run it's course bla bla
I'm wondering if I should continue giving him Zyrtec each night to avoid these runny noses?
Does anyone have a kid with winter allergies taking allergy meds? So frustrating
He is fine at when home, I'm thinking the school is broiling hot , could it be the heaters?

My kids do. I tend not to give them the meds because I dont really feel they help. What does help is saline, and I also have this nasal spray that I use when it gets bad. Its Flonase
ETA: Also try Probiotics

I buy Yum Yum Dophilus. They are chewable cherry. I get them at Whole Foods, but Im sure amazon probably has them
