3 month old Reflux? Vomitting everything I can get her to eat.

Anyone have advice/experience, please share. My 3 month old DD started giving us problems eating over a week ago. Every few bottles she'd pull off & scream. Turned into every bottle. Ped put her on Zantac. Continued fighting bottles & started vomiting a lot. They said to give her pedialyte. She was fine on that & after 2 days we tried adding the formula back but she wouldn't take it. Finally yesterday they switched her to alimentum. She was fine all day on it yesterday (on the RTF), drinking 4 oz every 2.5 hours. I bought more but bought the powder. She wouldn't take it tonight. Ran out to buy more RTF, she still wouldn't take it. Then she vomited an amount more than I've ever seen an adult vomit, soaking me, the chair, herself. Just kept coming out. Now she's sleeping. Don't know what to do, I read on another mom board that it could be the allergens still in her system from the previous formula. But the amount of vomit just seemed...idk what, but not normal. Anyone have any idea/advice? Please & TIA.

ETA: Took her off Zantac bc it seemed like that was what made her vomit, so she hasn't had it since Sunday morning.

I am so sorry you're going through this.
I know how frustrating it can be.
My son had AR too but, didn't vomit.

If take her to a gastroenterologist pediatrician
Dr. guerverra helped my son and he was really nice too.
The Zantac his regular Ped suggested didn't help, so it I decided to make an appt with a gastro Ped. It was when I saw Dr Gueverra and he was put on Axcid. It helped!
Every baby is different but, I would definintely take her a Gastro Ped.

Thank you, I think I'll have to. This poor little baby has been through the ringer already. I didn't think we'd have to add another specialst to the mix, at least not for a long time, but whatever will help her. I really appreciate your experience & advice!

My dd had reflux and a dairy protein intolerance. She was on Zantac and Alimentum, RTF and powder are VERY different. Powder is much more watered down. My peds had me stay on RTF. My dd was on Axid but eventually it stopped helping her and we were switched 100 times before finally being put on Zantac.
My dd started have issues around 4 weeks and we werent able to fully resolve it until 8 weeks and it was horrible. I know what your going through.
We originally tried Nutramigen and she projectile threw it up and started choking on her throw up. I was hysterical crying!
Its possible the powder didnt sit well with her and she eventually threw it up. Its also possible that the other formula was still in her system, you said you only changed her yesterday. It takes at least a week to see any difference. Within a few days I started to notice a difference but within 1 week I had a BRAND NEW BABY! So I would personally give it some more time with the Alimentum and Zantac.
Are you putting the Zantac in the bottle? My dd wouldnt take it because it tastes horrible so my peds suggested I put in her bottle. Just as long as she drank the whole thing so it ensures shes getting the full dose.
Im sorry your going through this, its horrible when your in the thick of it. BUT just know it does get better and you will find what works for you it just takes a whole lot of stuff not working to get there sometimes. =( And before you know she will outgrow it. My dd outgrew it by 6 months.

Thanks so much for sharing your experience. I wish my ped had told me there was a difference between the RTF & powder; I bought 2 containers of this expensive stuff! She took a bottle of half pedialyte/half powder at daycare today so I guess it's a wait-and-see thing for now. I just hate for her to loose more weight if she can't keep it down but I'm hoping this may just be her adjusting like you said & maybe this formula is the one that will work for her after all. This is definitely stressful though...your help is greatly appreciated.

if you have a good insurance they will covered it. My DD is on Alimentum and I only pay a copay. I think others covered it 100%

Thank you; I hope mine covers it. My ped said she'd write a letter to insurance when we go back for weight check.
