How to I get my babysitter to leave when I get home l

I love my new sitter. She is only here on Mondays
Typically when I come home all the kids are sleeping. This is precious time for me to get stuff done.
The sitter always brings me up to speed on the day but lately she has been chatting for an hour plus! I don't want to be rude but I need that time lol!

Just say, "Well, thanks so much, have a great night! I'll walk you to the door."

Just thank her and cut her off nicely telling her you're sorry to cut her off but you have some calls to make or need a shower, need to get some things done, etc. If all else fails pull the not feeling well "cramps" and "bloating" excuse. Lol.

Do you pay her every Monday? Maybe chat a couple minutes, then pay her. Mine always leaves shortly after I pay.

I do pay her and still doesn't leave.
Walked her to the front door and still talked for 15 minutes.
I guess I just have to be honest and say I have to get some stuff done. I just don't want to hurt her feelings.
Maybe she'll stay and help me make dinner

You could say "thanks for getting me up to speed on the kids. I wish I could chat more, but I always have so much stuff to get done on Mondays". This might be easier than having to come up with a new excuse every week.

I'd be upfront about it - tell her that you enjoy your chats but it's important to you to get things done as soon as you get home.

Chat for 10 minutes.

Then look at your watch & tell her "oh, no, look at the time, I really gotta start doing xyz".

I like chatting with my sitter, but it makes me late in the morning to work, so I have this issue too.

ITA i would say something like, " oh wow look at the time! well I really have to get started on dinner, i'll walk you out"

I just came to say how annoying that is, and that im sorry you are dealing with it! That would drive me nuts.

Set an alarm on your phone that sounds like a ringtone. "I'm sorry, I have to take this call. Thanks for everything! See you next week."

Maybe tell her you have to run upstairs to change your clothes and tell her to let herself out.
