This is what I posted:

Seeking a (grand)mother's helper on Thursdays and Fridays. Perfect afterschool job for young teenager. Would be to help my mom and dad out watching my 4 y/o son. Neighborhood behind Boyle PM for more information.

I would say $8 an hour since they are really just playing with your child since your parents will be there.

Re: What is a fair wage?

So if I am getting rates for an inhome adult run day for $8hr I should still expect to pay a 12 to 14 y/o over minimum wage cash to play with my son with adult supervision? I was thinking more like $6...argh....back to the drawing board...Chat Icon

What is a fair wage?

I used to watch triplets for a family member same amount of hours. I got paid $50 for 2.5 hours and if it was over it was $20/hour. I would say for what you want/need offer $20 for the day. If it is 2 days every week you could offer a flat $30-35 for the 2 days.

What is a fair wage?

Honestly, I think 6-7 an hour for a 12 or 13 year old is fine..
