question about 1st appt
Hi ladies, i have a question about the timing of the first appt. i was having some spotting and cramping(which i know can be normal) i called the MD and they said to come in next week to confirm the pregnancy. according to my app, i will be 5 weeks 4 days. the spotting has stopped. do you think this is too early to go and i should reschedule for the following week (6 weeks 4 days)? i think we'd have a better shot at seeing the heartbeat then, right? just wanted to see what you guys thought.

Even if there is no heartbeat yet you can still see that things are developing properly yolk, sac all of that, so I think its worth going. And then the next week you can go back to look for heartbeat. Also, I am pretty sure I went earlier than six weeks and saw a heartbeat.

Ita Bc of issues I had a sono this pregnancy at 5w1d. Couldn't see a heart beat but was told It was measuring on track and that it looked like it should which was a relief. I had a follow up the next week at 6w1d I saw the heart beat.

Yes I would do this. I have always waited for around 7 weeks but if I were spotting I would request to go in early to do blood work and see what going on, good luck!
