Waking in the middle of the night
My 2 yr old DS has been giving us a hard time going to sleep suddenly when he was the BEST sleeper. Finally fell asleep later than his usual time screaming bc I had enough... Yelling he needs water, diaper change, wants to go downstairs, not tired, wants to come in mommy and daddy room, etc. He keeps stalling and I had enough. Plus, I didn't want him to wake my 4 yr old. He finally passed out. Woke at 3AM and was wide awake. DH went in to his room and he was chatting and chatting. I told DH to shut the door and lights and tell him it's night and let him cry till he goes to sleep, but DH can't do that so he was up with him from 3AM on. When I woke with my 4 yr old at 7:45AM my 2 yr old was still wide awake. Afraid of what to do tonight. Any advise? Do I just say we shut the lights and the door and let him cry? He has a night light and sound machine. I do remember my 4 yr old going through this. SO tough.
