Do you think a cable knit would be too warm for a mid-end of April baby for a take home??

April is a crazy weather month (sort of like right now lol almost 60 yesterday and snow today). I would still get it tho.

No..DS was born April 13th and it was rainy the days in the hospital and the day I went home it was in the 70's. DD was born March 30th and when she came home it was flurries/freezing rain!
I think you will be fine with cable knit.
