Sending in table food to daycare

DD is 8 months. She loves table food and usually eats a mixture of table food and baby food for lunch and dinner at home. At her daycare right now I have them give her either yogurt or a baby food jar for lunch. I'd like to send in solids for them to give her, like carrots or sweet potatoes, but I'm kinda clueless as to how I should do it. If you send in table food to your LO daycare, how do you do it?

We never had to. Once they were in table food the daycare supplied it.

I would just put it in Tupperware and directions.

This..if we tried what they were giving 3 times, they would give it to dd...but I have a friend who sends and she puts masking tape with directions on the lid of her containers...

Re: Sending in table food to daycare

I send it in the same way I give at home - I cut it all up into really small pieces and put in Tupperware, labeled. Sometimes I will add a touch of a liquid (water, milk, sauce, soup stock) just to keep it from drying out a little.

It's a little bit of a pain to do bc at home, I cut it up as I serve it, whereas for daycare I have to sit and cut it all at once. Also I have to make sure I don't "miss" a big piece bc I'm not sure how diligent they are at daycare, like if they'd pick out and further cut a big piece that got in there.
