I have not had the easiest time getting DS to sleep over these last 15 months. One thing I could count on over the last couple months is naps but today that all changed. DS has now discovered how to sit and stand up in the crib. He woke up at 7am today and I was just able to get him down for a nap but he's not even in his crib. I put him in the car seat because I was going to drive him around, I walked away for a minute and when I came back he was sleeping. Please tell me this happens to other people and that it will pass (hopefully quickly). Anything I can do to help the process. He still doesn't sttn so if I can't get him to nap I'm going to cry.

I wouldn't get too worked up about one day but if it continues that would be rough. DD's sleep all went to hell at 15 months. First not going back down once she woke during the night, then bedtime, then naps. It really was horrible. I tried just about everything but nothing was working. In the end, I let her full on CIO and it worked great. From the very first night she STTN and within a few days she was right back to her normal, easy to put to sleep self except for not waking at night and it was bliss! I highly recommend troublesometots.com. I read all three parts about CIO and a bunch of other articles and everything fit DD exactly. I followed exactly what she suggested and DD has been sleeping great every since.
BTW- I finished weaning her at the same time. We were down to nursing just before bed and I stopped that the same night we started CIO. I think my decreased supply was part of what was getting her all worked up. I think we fm'd about that in the past but figured I'd throw it in there.
