Brunch for communion party

Just found out the time was changed for DD's first communion from 10:30am to 9:00am. WHO DOES THAT????? So I guess DD will have ZERO family at the church for her communion!! I'm so mad right now. In any case, I guess now I should be planning a BRUNCH instead of lunch, since the party will have start no later than 11am I guess.

What do you think? Should I just do a brunch, or have the party a little later, at like 1:00, and maybe just take her for photos before the party or something? WWYD?

And, any suggestions for a place for a brunch in the Stonybrook/Pt. Jeff/Setauket/Centereach area?

Re: Brunch for communion party

Follow up question: do you think it is too far to have the party in Bayshore if the church is in Centereach?

Re: Brunch for communion party

I think most people actually really enjoy brunch, so I say go with that. We had our DS 1st party as a brunch by choice- we felt they offered a lot more for the money.
