How long before Bday party do you send out invitations?
Most of our invites will be for day care, if that makes any difference. Just wondering how early most people send them out. I want to give enough notice but not so much that they get forgotten.

I sent my invitations out about a month before the RSVP date (5 weeks before the party).

Usually just 3 weeks before the party. Any earlier and honestly parents forget.

4-5 weeks before party this way I give myself time (about a week) for putting together favors, notifying the place/entertainment/etc.

I sent DS's out about 5 or 6 weeks before his party and wanted RSVPs 2 weeks before. But we were inviting a lot of family and wanted them to keep the date open.

I guess I am the bad one. Last birthday, it was less than 2 weeks before the party. But I do home parties and really don't require an RSVP from anyone.

I usually do 4-5 weeks for classmates and as soon as I book/order invitations for my good friends. I actually switched my party date because DS's best buddy from preschool was out of town the original date I had booked.
I just ordered invitations and emailed our good friends today for a March 15 party. I plan to hand out invitations to preschool class next week so 5 weeks prior to party or 4 weeks prior to RSVP date.
