Headaches in Children- 6yo
My son has been complaining of a headache since thursday or Friday. I gave him motrin yesterday and it seemed to help with the severity, but it didnt make it go away completely. The nurse just called, he came down holding his head and crying in pain. Its same spot, one side, left temple area. I made the appoint for him to see his primary care this afternoon. My daughter used to get migraines but they didnt start this early. Brain pain and breathing issues freak me out.... Would you request to have an MRI/Xray? or am i overreacting?

Re: Headaches in Children- 6yo
I started my migraines as young as 6 years old I believe. It could very well be a migraine. Your ped may recommend an MRI anyway to rule anything out, but don't panic yet. Migraines can start young!

Gotta go see a Dr. They may then refer you to a specialist.

Re: Headaches in Children- 6yo
My DD had that twice once in Dec and once in Jan. turned out she ended up with a very low fever only at night not during the day. Was told it was viral and going around. A few we know had headaches for a week, turned out to be strep. It might just be a bug if they don't normally get headaches.
