Moms of 2 or more in daycare
I have an almost 2 yr old and am contemplating a 2nd baby within a year or so. My dh leaves early in the morning for work so it's on me to get the kids to daycare and myself to work.
How difficult is this? I know it's an adjustment and probably chaotic.. My dd is pretty good In the morning but then again it's just me and her.
My plan would be to keep dd in daycare while on maternity leave, is it difficult doing drop off shortly after delivery (Im a csection mom)?
My wheels are spinning hence all the questions!!

Re: Moms of 2 or more in daycare
My kids go to my parents 3 days a week. I am alone 2 days. It's not bad at all. You'll get a routine. I get up and get ready before kids get up. Everything packed the night before. Dh puts everything in my car when he leaves. I try to get the baby up first and dress him. I give him his bottle in the car seat while I get the twins up and ready. Twins have milk and some Cheerios as I clean up a little and get jackets and shoes. Out the door by 730. I am very rarely late. Just here and there when one of the 3 year olds has a tantrum

It's a bit chaotic but, it's actually easier when the second is still an infant and you can snap them into the carrier. It gets harder when the younger one is mobile. My hard part is usually DH or FIL drops them off and have a more flexible AM schedule so usually it's frustrating trying to get them to be out the door and ready so I can catch my train.
It wasn't difficult doing drop off right after delivery. I didn't have a c-section but, I didn't start doing drop off/pick up until the baby was about 2 weeks old. I would leave the baby in the daycare office and go drop off/pick up older DS.

Re: Moms of 2 or more in daycare
Not anymore, but I used to get 2 ready for daycare. I would get up at 5Am to get myself ready first. Since it was too chaotic I just had the boys have breakfast at daycare. Would wake up my cranky 2 year old to get him dressed while he was half asleep then get the baby changed and dressed too. Sometimes give him a bottle, but depends on when he had it last. I'd bring them downstairs and put my 2 year old in the highchair and strap the baby in the carseat while I loaded up the car (I hated Mondays since it was bring in EVERYTHING day... LOL). Put the boys in the car and get to the daycare by 7AM. My 2 year old had breakfast there. Not fun, but the key is to have everything ready the night before. The daycare was good bc I was able to keep a lot of stuff there like the formula, baby food packets, cheerios, etc.

Thanks for the responses, just thinking about it all makes me nervous! Pickup is 60/40 between my husband and I. Sick kids are all on me + working FT.

I thought of this as we are expecting our dd next month. I'm seriously thinking of getting a nanny to come to the house. Just getting my son ready drives us crazy and we both need to leave really early in the morning so a nanny will probably work best for us.
