Cute gift for 2 yr old girl?
Any ideas? Daycare classmate is having a bday party this weekend, what should I get? How much should I spend?

Do you know what she's into? A lot of little girls that age are into Sofia the First, Minnie Mouse and Doc McStuffins and more. My DD is 2 1/2 and she loves tea sets and lego duplo. I always find cute things at the Disney store too.

DD is 19 months and loves her tea set, baby dolls and strollers, little people bus and little people plane, anything elmo and mickey mouse.

My 21 month old loves these too!
She also loves megabloks, puzzles, books, art supplies and stickers. My SIL got her the book Olivia for christmas along with a stuffed Olivia and an Olivia t shirt from old navy and she is obsessed with that book now. I'm definitely keeping that idea in mind to try to match up a shirt and book together.

Thanks everyone - do you think it's better to do a toy or clothes?
I def do not want to do a gift card.
For toy - I'm thinking either Little People something or other, or the Melissa & Doug birthday cake....
eta again: I'm not sure what characters she's into so I don't want to get someone she's not in to.

DD's favorite gifts when she turned 2 included:
- a Lego birthday cake set, she loves to build a "cake", put a candle on top and sing happy birthday
- a purse that came with a play phone, lipstick, debit card, wallet, keys, and mirror
- Melissa and Doug ice cream kit
- Melissa and Doug cookies kit
- Melissa and Doug cupcake set
To answer your price question, I would keep it at or below $15. You can get really cute stuff at that price point.

I always do well at ac moore for the M&D sets. They almost always have a 50% off coupon on their website as long as they're not on sale that week.
