We are doing this right now...DD is almost 4 weeks and she sleeps in the Fisher Prive Rock n Play by my bedside. It's high enough so that I can just reach over and rock her if she stirs or cries.

We are also in a one bedroom co-op which we are putting on the market next month. So we are in no rush to get either of them into their own beds at this point since we are all in the same room anyway.

We had a King size bed so I'm sure that helped. I'd just keep the baby on my arm. Now with a 5 yr old and a 3 yr old we are desperately trying to get them out.

What about the arm's reach cosleeper? DD did great in that and it was so nice to have her right there but in her own space.

Newborn in cradle next to bed and toddler in the bed as usual. I would never put a newborn in bed with me. I would be way to scared I would suffocate or squish him.

BTDT- Co-sleeping with a toddler and newborn?

DD slept/sleeps on my chest or in the RnP since she was born. She's turning 4 months and growing out of her RnP. We slept for 7 hrs straight last night w her on my chest. Im completely comfortable and content -so is she. Ive seen the co-sleeper that you can put in the bed but it seems pretty roomy to have in the bed w another child. GL

We only have a Queen, and both DDs sleep in the bed - DD1 in the middle and DD2 in my arms.

We basically turned ds' crib into a side car situation. We took the front off the crib. His mattress is the same level as ours and he's usually half in his crib and half in our bed.

Its def. hard but I think I'd get less sleep if he slept in his own room..he'd probably get up at night and join us in our bed anyway. This way we just avoid that (at least for now)
