Would you go to 2 bday parties for one family two weeks in a row?

DS#1 and DS#2 are born 1 day apart. After going back and forth about doing a joint party, I decided to just have a separate birthday party for DS#2. Last yr, I had two parties but one on Sat and one on Sun of the same weekend. This yr, I plan to do separate weekends.

Would you attend 2 parties for 1 family?

1 party will be at a bounce house and the second party will be a dinosaur themed party at a nature center (touch reptiles, dinosaur craft and egg hunt).

Honestly...if I had one child and only played with one of your children, no...I think it's kind of a lot to ask from friends...

My oldest dd and my niece are a week apart. We've had parties a week or two apart since my niece had her 1st birthday. No one has ever had a problem going to 2 parties for the same family a week or two apart

Honestly, I wouldn't. But I will admit, I'm one of those selfish people who loves my weekends.

Is it a family party or kid party? Family I'd wonder why they aren't joint but a kid party yes since its 2 kids BUT if you were inviting all the same people to both then I would think its overkill.

Probably not. My weekends are my only resl time with my family so I limit events.

No. We have had bday parties 2 weeks In a row(different families) and it's too much TBH. We are also limiting events and rsvp'ing no to some parties.

Yes I would..... we have had parties the past two weekends and have one on each Saturday for the next three weekends. I would be all for letting each child have their own special day.

I would as long as I didn't have other plans. They are for two separate children, why anyone would say no just because it's the same family is beyond me.

I'd rather not. I think it's asking a lot of people to give up two weekends.

I would just combine their birthdays and make it fun for the both of them by getting their input and having them help with the details. With their birthdays so close together I think they have to understand it's not feasible to do separate parties.

ETA - If the same people are invited to both, I don't understand bothering to do two separate things. If it's different friends and families then that's a different story.

Yes, as long as we didn't already have plans. A child's birthday party is usually 2 hours max, so there is still plenty of weekend time to do other stuff.

I think its fine. If people don't want to go, then they won't! Each child deserves their own day!

I would definitely go. I think each child deserves their own day. I think birthday parties are fun and there are tons of weekend a where we have nothing to do.

If its different people invited to each Bc each kid has different friends than that's fine. If its family / friends that will be the same I would combine TBH

I would do both. We have tons of friends with multiple kids and we go to all the parties. So what if your kids happened to be born around the same date, it's still the same two commitments imo. We go to a bday probably twice a month anyway.

My brother and I are 12 and a half months apart. We would do the family party together (my dad and now my sister-in-law all have birthdays in the same month) but separate friend parties (with the exception of one).

How old are the kids? If they are young (under school age), I would just have a joint party. If they are old enough and have enough friends where two partys are necessary, then I would limit family and people you would invite to both to only being invited to only one then. I love to celebrate like everyone else, but weekend time is short and precious!
