6 1/2 mo crying when anybody else holds her

Dd cries when anybody other than me or dh hold her. Like hysterical cry. For family and my friends who have held her so many times. It's something new and the moment she comes back to me she is fine.

Also when they are holding her she panics if she can't see me. Is this already separation anxiety? Is it just a phase? When will other ppl be able to hold her again?

Separation anxiety. My one twin is shy and cried when my mom or mil picked her up. They were so upset. Then she was fine after a few minutes. She was fine for awhile then at Christmas she was hysterical when my cousin picked her up. She also stares down her sisters EI teacher when she comes. Lol. When she does it I just take her and tell her it's ok and stay near whoever held her and have them talk to her (as long as it doesn't make her worse).

My dd did this. Its a phase. I don't know exactly how it passes but I would constatntly reassure her it was ok. Its her uncle so and so and he loves her. Eventually it stopped. BUT my dd has stayed apprehensive around men more than women.

And now she is 18.5 months and shes doing it again. Just started a few days ago. And Ive noticed over the last month shes grown WAY more attached to me. Like when shes upset or Im going to leave she cries hysterically.

My other DD did this with my BIL. Cried everytime he went near her on Thanksgiving, but was fine at Christmas. It was so odd.

That's about when it started for dd. At family gatherings, I have to hand her to a relative and completely leave the room, then she is fine. If she sees me, she wants me. She is 13 months now, and it's getting better unless she is super tired/cranky.
