If you switched insurance while pregnant...
Was there anything you needed to do? Did you call the new insurance company to let them know you were pregnant or do you let your OB's billing dept. handle everything?

My OB also handled everything.
I just had to pay an additional copay, since although I was about 7 months along it was my "first" visit with the new insurance.

So you don't need to pay a copay at every visit? My previous insurance didn't have copays so I'm new to this lol.

i think that depends on your insurnace plan.
we have to meet a ded w any medical service ex- doc visit is $200 lets say my co pays 70% of the visit and we pay the 30% until we meet our annual ded of $2500
But i did let all my docs deal w the med change and just bill me

yes, I called the new insurance company and went back and forth a few times. They needed to know my due date, my doc, the name of the hospital where I was going to deliver etc...
