Now I'm curious... Bc the c-section doesn't come close at all to that area...maybe she means something internally, like scar tissue? I'm talking about not having to worry about stretching out, scarring, ripping, getting stiches down there, etc.
I have no idea! Nor do I want to know! She tells me wayyyy too much as it is.
I do know that one of her big issues is lack of bladder control.
Lol, I can't stand over sharers! Maybe she didn't do enough Kegels!

No idea but she is constantly running to the bathroom but not before hunching over b/c she feels like she's going to pee herself. As soon as that passes, she takes off for the bathroom. She says this never happened before she had her kids.
And oversharer is a MAJOR understatement with this one, especially about bathroom issues.

i agree, sounds odd since the baby doesnt go near your vag. i also love that my vag is completely untouched & looks/feels the same. sounds crazy but that was a big thing i worried about when i thought about a vaginal delivery. my bladder is fine also

Re: Anyone prefer C-Section to V birth?
I've had two emergency c sections and personally I think it sucks, the pain and the recovery, very traumatic on my body and it is major surgery. That being said I hoped to vbac but baby was breech so that was out. Everyone's experience is different but always hoped for v birth.

Anyone prefer C-Section to V birth?
I had 4 sections, all with different experiences and recoveries. My 4th was by far the hardest. I'm 5.5 pp and still not peeing normally. Sometimes I know I have to go and still can't feel myself push. My muscles down there will never be the same again.
I tried to go for vbac and then a vba2c (my c/s were all due to transverse babies). My doctors did not think it was safe to try a vba3c but strangely enough, my fourth was the only one that was head down and my dr. Said my water was bulging.
Even after the amazing and wonderful c/s, I would never opt for major surgery. It is easy for me to say this though after never experiencing vaginal birth. I did labor with #1 who turned back sideways during labor.

Re: Anyone prefer C-Section to V birth?
I know two people who's "snatch" hasn't been the same since their c-section (Both my good friends). Here I thought I was complaining because I had a V-birth but they are having THE SAME issues as me! Apparently there can be a lot of hormonal changes /pressures/shiftings that make the biggest impact on incontinence/lubrication and everything else regardless of how the baby comes out. So either way you may experience "Changes" down there. I hope for an easy/healthy delivery for you either way!

The majority of changes to the vagina are due to hormonal changes, pressure on the area from the weight of the pregnancy itself etc..my SIL had 2 sections and confessed that she didn't feel completely normal there for a while after having her babies.
I had three vaginal births and I can honestly say all is the same as it was. The vagina is a muscle and kegels are the best exercise!! I do know women who had terrible vaginal deliveries and great sections too...it really just depends but there are pros and cons to both

In had a c section with my twins and have zero desire for a v bac
I know to some I'm crazy and it's major surgery blah blah blah and I missed out on a great experience
I enjoyed my experience just fine and don't feel like I missed out on anything

I just told a co-worker about this. I had an amazing c-section experience.
Me too! Well, not a coworker but I was telling my DH.
My csection was scheduled because he was breech. I arrived around 9, went to the OR around 11, and at 11:48 my baby made his first cry! It was all so.... Easy.
Recovery wasn't awesome, but no matter which exit route your baby takes, recovery will not be a walk in the park. It's either a watermelon popping our your hooha or major abdominal surgery. All things considered, I'd do it again!
