How early can the heartbeat be detected ?
According to FF I am 5 weeks 5 days, fetus age is 4 weeks.
I made an appointment with OB and I am going on the 21st which would make the fetus age 6 weeks. She said they may not be able to hear/see the heart beat and I may need to come back the following week or two later.
Just curios how early some if you may have heard or seen the heartbeat?

My first u/s I was 6 wks 1 day and we saw the heartbeat but couldn't hear it yet. The next u/s I was 7 wks 3 days and we heard a nice strong heartbeat.
Just re-read your post...yes you should be able to hear the heartbeat by the 21st you would be 7-8 weeks by then.

We heard the heartbeat at 7 weeks and 2 days (we couldn't make the 6 week appointment as we were away, but doctor said they might have been able to hear it then also).

How early can the heartbeat be detected ?
At 5weeks 5 days- I did not see or hear a heartbeat. Went back a week later- at 6 weeks, 5 days and saw and heard the heartbeat :)

I wish I were able to get an appt at 6 or 7 weeks!! My dr is making me wait until 8 weeks. Torture!

Only reason I had an earlier one is because I was going through a RE. Obgyn appt wasn't until 8 weeks :)

Thanks everyone.
They originally wanted me I come in feb 3.
But I told them I was concerned bc with my last pregnancy I had low progesterone and had to take suppositories.
At the very least they are going to take blood.
