Is there a 5 week growth spurt?

DS has reflux, MIlk protein allergy and "a touch of colic" I've been giving him 3 oz bottle approx every 2.5-3 hrs. Just yesterday he started wanting to eat every 1.5-2 hrs ...

Is this a growth spurt or is the elecare just not filling him up cause it's so thin. I'm so so exhausted, I feel like I'm feeding him 24/7.

Also, would putting cereal in his bottle help fill him up more? I'm just at a loss of what to do

I never worried about if there was supposed to be a growth spurt and just went with what DS wanted. Have you tried giving 4 oz bottles? I would just up the amount and see if he will go longer.

ETA I would Not do cereal without speaking to the Dr.

I was giving 4 oz last week but he was taking 2-3 oz so the rest was wasted or he was drinking too much and spitting . It seems like maybe now he might be ready for an increase, I think I'm just nervous bc of the reflux.

I agree on upping the bottle ounces. See if he'll take more in a feeding. 5 weeks is still young, though, and I'd feed him when he's hungry.

DS never usually hit the typical growth spurts (he was always early), but even if it's a growth spurt, upping the bottle size should help.
