Did anyone have migraine/tension headaches daily?
I am almost 14 weeks pregnant and have been suffering from week 10. I have spoke to my RE and my reg OB (still waiting for my neuro appt on wed). They have told me tylenol is OK but now its a consistent thing and I am worried. I wake up with them every day. I have tried magnesium supplements, acupuncture, massages etc. I am hoping my neurologist can help me on Wed but is anyone else in the same boat? I suffer from chronic migraines when I am not pregnant and take immetrex as needed but I obviously can't do that now. TIA!

I have always had migraines, but now that I'm pregnant it's totally different. I get a headache 4-6 times a week, but they're not as severe. Usually Tylenol doesn't help, but now it does. The only negative is I'm taking Tylenol a lot. My doctor said it was okay. I actually started buying Extra Strength & just taking 1 at a time instead of 2, and it's doing the trick.

I had them daily from 10-16 weeks of varying intensity then they stopped and didn't come back till after I had my son. Only think that helped (sometimes) was tylenol and caffeine

I suffer from daily chronic migraine. I was on daily preventive medication and medication for acute migraine pain pre-pregnancy.The first trimester was tough for me. I take 1000mg of magnesium daily. I use Tylenol as infrequently as possible (there are some newer studies that are questionable but still a bit concerning) at 15 weeks my maternal fetal Medicine specialist and my headache specialist prescribed Percocet for Severe pain. Since Christmas I have been having a tough time with migraines. I get peripheral nerve blocks to help manage the pain. I also have a topical lidoderm/piloderm cream that helps. On New Year's Eve I ended up having to go to the ER to get treated with IV magnesium-It really helped. I talked to my doctors and based on the currently Evidence magnesium is safe during pregnancy as is predinsone. I have found that biofeedback/ guided meditation and exercise, mainly yoga have helped me to manage my headaches on a daily basis. Good Luck.
