29 Weeks - how often and how hard for kicks?

I am 29 weeks and just always feel concerned about the amount and strength of my kicks. I do kick counts and can always feel 10 movements within an hour or so but lately I feel like my kicks haven't been that hard. Does that matter? Anyone else have a quiet or gentle baby in there? TIA.

29 weeks is way too early to do kick counts.

Huh? I just got this update from Baby Bump:

Week 29 Pregnancy Tip: Counting Baby's Kicks
Have you counted your baby's kicks today? Once you've passed week 28, you should be counting them every day. To make sure that you do — and to make sure that everything's A-OK in your belly — make a habit of counting your baby's kicks twice a day, once in the morning and once at night. Best to do your counting lying down (since babies are more likely to kick up when Mom's lying down — a pattern they tend to continue after they're born). If you can't lie down, sit. Count any and all movements (even swishes and rolls) until you hit ten. If you haven't reached ten within an hour (your little Rockette may just be on her break right now), have a light snack and try again — that blood-sugar rush is likely to get baby on the move again. Just remember that fewer than ten movements within two hours warrants a call to your practitioner. Chances are everything's fine, but it's always better to be safe than sorry.

I was told any movement counts- I do kick counts twice a day in the morning and right before bed. I was told four moments an hour is sufficient.
My daughter has periods throughout the day when she is very active and at other times she is very calm. I am 30 weeks.

I don't count but baby is very active and when I'm laying down I feel many kicks. I am 28 weeks.

My high risk dr said not to even bother. It was way to early. I def would not take baby bump as good advice. If you are concerned contact your dr.

At 29 weeks you are most likely not feeling everything that's why it's not accurate

I am 28 weeks with an anterior placenta (so I don't feel as many kicks as most girls do). I also get worried when I don't feel her, but I feel her most in the morning and at night. I just watched that documentary "In the womb" by national geographic, and they say that at 26 weeks the baby sleeps 90% of the day. I feel like if I tried to count the kicks I would drive myself crazy. I am already worrying constantly, so counting 10 would drive me insane. As long as you feel her for periods of time each day, I try not to worry about it.

I'm 30w and don't do kick counts. She'll be active for awhile and then rest for awhile. As long as I feel her for awhile throughout the day. My doctor never told me anything about kick counts. Just asks if I feel movement.

I'm almost 27 weeks and wondered the same about the strength of the kicks. I feel like a few weeks ago she was stronger but I attribute the loss of strength is because she is higher up and has more room now. I need to ask at my appt on Monday.
