Vit C tablets
I had just gotten over bronchitis and still have a runny nose etc.
I was prescribed antiobiodox which I finished today as well. I am trying to boost my immune system a little. Is it safe to take an extra vitamin C tablet ( all natural) along w my daily prenatals?

I was taking vitamin c supplements prior to my pregnancy. When I saw my OB and reviewed what I was taking, she told me to stop. Didn't give me an explanation and I didn't think to ask why.

Not sure if they are safe or not, but you could always drink a glass of OJ daily.

I was told to stop Vitamin C and I thought it was weird, just bc it's a Vitamin.. I thought it would be good for me. So I was discussing it with a coworker. Who said when she was younger (14-15) she heard of girls taking excessive Vitamin C to cause them to miscarry unplanned pregnancies. I looked it up and apparently it's true. So I definitely would NOT take Vitamin C.

Also.. I stopped drinking OJ after I found that one, and when I told my doctor that she laughed at me and said not to take the Vitamin C tabs but start drinking my OJ again LOL. So that IS safe.

I recall reading something about vitamin C being bad for fertility in certain circumstances, maybe if you weren't taking it with something else, I don't recall.
