We bought a basic case at Walmart, then yesterday realized it wont be enough. So I ordered this last night from Amazon.
Hoping this will be better.

FWIW, those things are resilient. My DC does not have a case for theirs and has dropped it a million times....its TOTALLY fine.

Agreed. We have a basic case that folds over like a book. Yet my 2yo plays it all the time and throws it regularly. That thing has been thrown on to concrete, we have had it for over a year and it has no more that a few minor scratches on the screen. Scratches that are barely visable! I always recommend the kindle bc its so durable. In the same time we have been through 2 ipod touch screens!

I also have this case from Amazon, I love it! My son can have stand without any problems.

I just got this one for DS's Kindle Fire. It's military duty and also has a screen protector. Fits perfectly and DS dropped the Kindle twice yesterday and it was fine.
