How did DC handle potty training emotionally?

DC will be 2 & a half next month.
On Thanksgiving she went to the potty by herself at my moms house so I figured I'd run with it & start training her.
She was pretty good with the potty part but she was a miserable, cranky little thing for at least 2 weeks!
I know this is a huge change for them so I don't blame her but I was just wondering if they are all like that or is it just my over dramatic child

My ds is great so far. He is 2 in a few weeks and we are just introducing it but he loves it.

That's young, good for you!
She was interested in it around that time but I figured she was too young so she just went once in a while & I never followed through but I think that was a mistake because a few months later she wanted nothing to do with it. She kept saying '"I don't want to be a big girl, I want diapers!"
So I held off until she was ready again but it would have been nice to save 6 months of $ worth of diapers

My 3 trained at 27 months, 24 months and 26 months. It only took a couple days for them to learn. I never saw a negative change in their attitudes. But they all started wanting to do everything on their own with no help, since they were such big kids now
