What did spontaneous labor feel like?

I know people say you'll know when real labor starts but labor is supposed to feel different for everyone too....I was induced with my first so just curious what did spontaneous labor feel like for you? Getting so antsy with only 2 weeks to edd!

What did spontaneous labor feel like?

I never had BH so at 13 days late I was feeling nothing and was convinced I was never having this baby. When it did start, I just thought I had eaten too much at dinner and was having stomach pains bc of that. When I tried to go to sleep I started checking the clock and realized the pain was coming exactly 7 minutes apart. That was how I knew something was finally starting! Through the night they got stronger and closer together but never got to the point that I could talk through them. Went to the hospital around 8am and I was 5cm.

Honestly it felt like an intense tightening of my lower abdomen.
Some people say period like cramps- but I never had that.
More like a spasming that got stronger and more painful.
It was never to the point I couldn't talk through them though.
When i got to the hospital I was 4-5 cm and the dr was surprised that i was handling the contractions as well as i was.
I told him I have kidney stones and this was a walk in the park compared to that!

After that I got that blessed epi so I felt nothing more- until i Had to push that is!
