I know this is not what u wanna hear but we did oral sedation with my dd plus laughing gas and it didn't knock her out, not even close. The dr said some kids it just has the opposite effect, kinda makes them hyper and my dd was one of them. Lucky for me dd loves loves loves the dentist like a freak lol so it wasn't a problem. Good luck, I know I was a worrying mess and that's without any prior bad experiences. just felt compelled to update. We went through with it and EXACTLY what you said happened! She was doing cartwheels on Valium. She wouldn't even let him near her mouth. Needless to say she needs full sedation.

DS had 2 fillings done with sweet air at Kiddsmiles in Holbrook. He did great and usually he's horrible at the dentist.

I can't find a practice that does general anesthesia in office and bills it to the insurance. MetLife pays 80% yet they can't help me find a practice. All places are 1k+ to the anesth. Oop.

What about a regular oral surgeon who does IV sedation like what they do for Wisdom teeth removal. Is that considered general anesthesia ?
