Working mothers who pump and bf their babies

I will be going back to work in two weeks. I'm currently bf'n and just started to give dd a bottle or my DH will give her a bottle so I can pump and ensure she will at least take one when I go back to work for the nanny. We have hired a nanny 3x a week (the other days I work from home). I'd like to continue to bf in the mornings and night time as well as the days I work from home when I can.

What bottles do you use( I use the boob bottle and drop ins right now but want to only use one as I don't want dd to get so confused)

Any suggestions for those who have continued to do both?

Tia

I do both and we use Dr. Brown's. DS has no issues taking the bottle, and the only issue we've had with BFing is that at first he was frustrated that the milk wasn't coming fast enough on my boob that has slower letdown. We corrected it with a few simple adjustments to his bottle feeding. Now we have no issues. He takes 3 bottles a day with MIL, I nurse morning and evening.

I use the medela ones that screw right onto the pumping bottles and also the tommee tippee ones- he has no issues whatsoever going back and forth. We are a month in to me returning to work.

I also bf my older son and he did have issues but it was only because I got mastitis and started exclusively pumping, when I felt better, he was weaned from the breast completely

I pump into the medela bottles; and DH drinks out of Avent. I nurse him in the morning; when i get home from work. On the weekends he hardly gets any bottles. I've never had any issues. Good Lucking returning to work.

Advent bottles. (But the rounder one's. I hate the ones with the stupid adapter)

I primarily use the bottle and nurse only overnight or if I have a clog.

I have the dr browns and there has never been an issue. At first DD had a bottle every night with DH while I pumped. Now I BF every morning, when I get home from work and then again before bed. She's never had an issue but sometimes I feel like she drinks more from the bottle -- or at least has become very efficient at the boob.. lol...

Now, on the weekends, she rarely gets a bottle.

Good luck going back to work.

Re: Working mothers who pump and bf their babies

We used Tommee Tippee with no problems. DS never ever took a bottle if I was in the house, but no problems from babysitter or DH.
ETA: No problem with the nursing at all. At 11 months, we switched to whole milk in zippy as he began to refuse bottle, but still nursed when I was home.
