Baby monitors
What did you get/have? Can't decide. DH wants a security system. I want something I can keep next to the bed. He wants one we can look at on tablet or phone. What to do???

Baby monitors
My DH is totally against baby monitors since they can be hacked into allowing someone to hear/see the baby (which is unlikely but possible) but after much discussion he has agreed to an audio only monitor. I am planning to register for the vtech safe and sound audio baby monitor. If I were going to buy a streaming camera I would go with the Summer peek plus internet baby monitor system.

Baby monitors
DH wanted one that you can use your phone or tablet but I was concerned about it draining our battery too quickly and then we'd be without a monitor and really the video monitors are portable around the house. We are getting the Motorola MBP43 which is a newer version of the Motorola MBP36 which gets excellent reviews. I wanted a movement monitor as well so we also got a Levana movement monitor to clip onto her diaper.

Dh wanted the tablet and iPhone iPad wifi one too. I didn't want that one.
We have the Motorola with two cameras and love it! Love the pan/tilt/zoom feature and use it all the time.

We were debating on a wifi one but were too concerned about it getting hacked.

I was too, but they can all get hacked. They all go over your wifi between the camera in the nursery to the monitor.
Remember the old school days when you were on your landline and it crossed conervsatioms with your neighbor?

We originally registered for the Motorola MBP18 and got that for our shower. But then BRU had an awesome sale on the Motorola MBP43 for Black Friday so I went ahead and bought that and will return the 18. I wanted one with wifi that I could see through my phone, but DH thought it was a waste.
