Change in Nipples - TMI ALERT!
I just joined because I am desperate for answers. I search google and cannot find what I am looking for. I am 13 weeks pregnant, and this just started this week. My nipples, or I should say areola's, are twice the size they used to be (in circumference), and very puffy, are much darker in color and they burn and itch like hell at night. Anyone else? Should I call my doc immediately? This is terrible. I just applied cortisone cream for the first time, I read online it's safe, but I haven't asked my doc yet (but will), and I've been reading about lasinoh cream, which I would have to go buy. There is actually a red ring around the areola's, where it is most itchy. No relief yet from the corisone, just applied it about 30 minutes ago though. Ugh sorry to be so gross in my first post! I just need to know if this is somewhat normal or not at all! I spoke to a few women so far, and no one experienced this  If you have, please let me know what helps! THANK YOU!!!!

Normal! I felt like my boobs looked like the ones on national geographic!! They went back to normal after having my dd, thankfully!!!

Thank you for replying! This was torture waiting for someone to say something! Did you use anything to help? Or is there nothing? Omg, my husband just used the term National Geographic lmaoooo I definitely hate what they look like right now! Glad to hear they go back to normal after. Only 27 more weeks of this. Oh joy!

Normal! I read they actually get bigger and darker so the baby can find them easily after birth...kinda cool when you think about it..like bulls eyes 
I remember being shocked at their appearance during my 1st pregnancy...
I'm not sure about the itching and burning...never really had that.

*sigh* I had/have this as well and it's super annoying - they even got so dry they cracked and scabbed
I found Aveeno lotion or Gold Bond's works for me best.

BUT, mine were so itchy that they burned and the doctor gave me a prescription cream that was like a miracle in a tube!
