Natural moms... Cold cuts?
Do any of you know of nitrate-free minimally processed lunch meats? I want the girls to have to some semblance of a sandwich other than grilled cheese.

Natural moms... Cold cuts?
We eat is so rarely- I buy it once every 2-3 months on average, that I just buy Boars Head Maple Glazed turkey. It we ate it more often I would probably get Applegate Farms.

Just double check because we found some had carrageenan in int which is technically natural because it's derived from seaweed but it causes gastrointestinal inflammation and is linked to colon cancer. Can't remember which though.

For those interested, these have it:
Applegate (Packaged and Sliced: Roasted Chicken, Turkey Breast, Roasted Turkey Breast, Smoked Chicken, Smoked Turkey Breast)*
These don't:
Applegate (Roast Beef, Genoa Salami, Uncured Ham)*

I'm 99% sure I saw packaged, nitrate free cold-cuts (turkey, chicken.. not sure of what else) at trader joe's this past weekend.

Thank you! I really haven't researched the carageenan thing- I thought it was seaweed and was ok. I remember it being on a Breyers Ice cream commercial when we were kids

Just to jut in here... My DH has a really sensitive stomach. The only thing he can eat is the boars head ALL NATURAL turkey. It is very hard to find. We only know of the manhasset king kullen. There is nothing added to it, and it has more of a regular turkey breast texture than a coldcuts texture.
