any moms whos DC had a cold
Uhh its breaking my heart! Shes coughing and sneezing and her little runny boogers are all over the place. I just took her to the pedi bc Im freaking out...when she coughs she keeps coughing until she stops breathing and her face turns all red  its terrifying.
He told me its a cold with a sore throat. She looks absolutly miserable, her face is all red..heartbreaking.
He told me to get saline drip for her nose, does anyone have a preference? Any other words of advice so she (and me) can get some sleep tonight? Last night was a horror.

DEF run the shower and steam up the bathroom and sit in there with her for a few minutes, it'll help loosen things up and clear her up, it helped with my DD!!!!

My DS has an upper respiratory infection and it is heartbreaking. The coughing and sneezing are non-stop. What worked for us so far is the steam in the bathroom, Little Noses saline drops and the aspirator. He doesn't like the aspirator but I get so much mucus out it is crazy it really helps. We also elevated his mattress with a wedge.
HTH and I hope your little one feels better quickly.

DS has been battling a cold on and off for the last several weeks. We put Vicks baby vapor rub on his chest every night before he goes to sleep and we run the cool mist humidifer all night. It really seems to have helped. I also use the saline drops and I use the boogy sucker to get everything out. He hates it but it works.
I hope she feels better soon

ITA and also a humidifier... I also used little noses saline spray... She is gonna hate it... but it will help! Feel better little one!

Warm air humidifier in her room
Prop her mattress with a rolled up towel so she is sleeping inclined
Put vaseline around her nostrils so the skin dosnt get chapped or craked

One that my DR told me for upper resp congestion-a few sips(less than an oz) of warm apple juice. It really helped my boys

Did the saline..she hated it.
Humidifier is hooked up and running as of today.
Shes sleeping in her carseat because of the reflux already
Vasiline is a great idea...didnt cover that one!

I wonder why.... I'm going out right now to get the apple juice! I would love to hear why this will work, but I don't care - I need to break up the congestion already!!!!!!!!
